About John.

John views life though a romantic veil. He is very sensitive and has great empathy for all living things. On a wedding day or any event he is hired to cover he is able to meld his creative intuition with the vibration of his clients needs in a very personal way. On your wedding day he will work tirelessly to insure not one important moment is lost - are not all moments in life important? After your Wedding, Elopement, or whatever special event you hire John. He then reviews your package with the greatest care for the best possible delivery. Photography and how it is presented is an art and like all art forms the method to produce heartfelt images should not be manufactured in a mechanical way. With everyone of John's packages he looks for the opportunity to continue to grow and transpire his world of self expression and to help his client to preserve the memory of their event for the best possible visual and emotional reflection of the day.

What is John like away from the camera and the computer? John is an individual of balance, he is very health first in his approach to living and truly believes health is wealth. His time away from photography is spent caring for what life brings to him. However, day to day, photography and other forms of creative pursuits fill his actions - he truly lives in his work. Like most artist his goal is to escape his mortal death with his life's enduring creative work. When his clients ask him what was his favorite photograph or best wedding he has covered? His answer, "the next one life presents him with".

• 1981 John learns darkroom developing and plate making in a 9th grade printing class.

• 1986 Awarded 3 year grant in Visual Communications at the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

• 1989 Voted most likely to succeed of his graduating class

• 1990 Moves back home to Canada and takes residence in Banff, Alberta - a mountain national park town 120 km west of Calgary.

• 1990 Designer and Pre Press Darkroom Photographer for "The Banff Crag & Canyon"; local printer, and newspaper.

• 1992 Sub Contract Ski Hill Photographer for "Lake Louise Ski Area" In Banff National Park.

• 1995 Photographs his first Wedding at "The World Famous Banff Springs Hotel".

• 1996 Launches "Adventures In Photography Ltd."

• 2000 Scenic Images for Post Cards, and Calenders published by Canadian Souvenir Sales.

• 2001 Launches Publishing projects of Note Cards, Post Cards and Posters under Adventures In Photography Ltd.

• 2002 Adventures in Photography Ltd. purchases Cascade Mountain Books Inc. to become the hub of the publishing and booking center of the operation on Banff Avenue.

• 2002-2003 Publishes 500,000 postcards sold via 25 locations in and around Banff National Park.

• Autumn 2004 contracted to perform photography scouts of the entire Canadian Rockies Region for promotional advertising for Hertz Rent-A-Cart.

• 2004-2007 Consolidates efforts to cover Destination Special Event Photography in Western Canada. Including; spending the 2004/2005 Winter managing Ski Banff Lake Louise's  Ski Big 3, Club Ski operation. Daily Operation at Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise Ski Resorts. Activities included Ski Races, Group, Intimate Family Portraits, On Mountain Events, Concerts, and Party coverages. Becomes a co photographer working with Lee Simmons to cover the demanding upscale events of Canada West Market Place, and Rendezvous Canada.     

• 2007-2009 Photographing on average 100 Elopements, Weddings and Corporate Events in Western Canada a year.

• 2009 Contracted to Photograph "The Federal Ministers of Labour" during the Ministers retreat in Lake Louise, Alberta.
