Karen and Brian came to me at the very last minute for their Wedding Video. I was lucky to have another photographer to cover the photography so I could fill the last minute request.
Video is a huge plus on a wedding if your photographer and videographer are working together. I love video and from one video project to the next there is so much more to learn. I am seeing more videos in my future because the industry is pushing that professional photographers are capable of shooting video as well. This is the very reason why our replacement still camera has 1080p HD video as well. This new technology is changing all of our standard packages just simply because if we don't offer some sort of video option we will not be able to compete in the market place in years to come.
Like all my work I only want to give my clients the best quality with the time that is required to produce a unique and enduring end result. My mentor was a better illustrator at 64 year old than at 34 and I choose to be the same.
This client requested a famous U2 song for their Rock Video Intro! I worked to keep things pretty abstract and simple with symbols that help convey the message of the clips when lined up with the music. With Karen and Brian it is all about their love for the mountains. The love of the unpredictable harsh environment that sometimes can be experienced on a Mountain winter wedding can also remind us of the warmth that our partner does provide during a time of uncertainty.
When I was 5 years old I told my parents when I grow up I am going to live in Canada and I am going to be an artist. Up to the late 90's I still painted with my acrylics however the photography demands slowly put the brushes to rest until now. Owning my own business and having to care for the bulk of the administration work sometimes leaves me behind the pack while I wait in line to mail something out or any other non photography duties that goes along with operating a full time custom digital media boutique.
The Special Event and Corporate Event industry is changing at a mind blowing pace and in 2010 this means keep the pace or perish. Our primary Camera is the Canon 1D Mark III and it's replacement is now in the market place. We plan to be equipped with the elegant device for the start of our 2010 Summer Season.

The above slide show is just a hint of the abstract, illustrative, and expressive way of how my childhood studies of watercolours, acrylics, oils and gouache have made their history known in my new creative digital expression. Our clients are now getting images in their .zip files they never even thought were included.
My objective has always been to provide the client with a dynamic selection of images every time. Make the images better than yesterday every time is the only goal here. The only point of "Living in my Work" is to being in "Love with my Work". My image is my client' s image and I work very hard with my clients to create works of art together that exhibit emotions that are only transparent in the images preserved.
We are including a .zip file download link to view the above slide show images in full resolution. With our pursuit of creating original works of arts some of these sample images we have used as many as 4 images to create one illustration however, more can be used if needed. I don't desire to over work a piece, I try to find subtle elements in the image that will easily join one with another and another till the illustration has been told.

Elopements, Intimate Weddings, this is becoming the way in the modern world. We have 15 years experience servicing this crowd. We keep it all pretty easy! We know about 150 amazing locations between Golden, Jasper, Banff Lake Lousie. Within just a few phone calls we can have pretty much have anyone married with all the photos that present the illusion you spent thousands. What can I say, I am Scott, and will forever be. The inquires are continuing to fill the mail box and a recent one was for Moraine Lake. I like to help Brides as much as I can who are planning their own Wedding or Elopement in Banff and the Canadian Rockies. Hey, I understand, we all have to cut corners and save to make sure that special day is perfect with every detail. Melissa and Buck came to me and they said "Simple". Well this is what we delivered and in about 2 hours I was done covering their time at Moraine Lake.
I have been working low end special events in the valley for 15 years. My packages are set up for "Thrills and not Frills" when we are on location. This is not to say my packages are set up for the sweet and elegant. On the contrary all my couples are sweet and elegant. The way I offer my packages are; the coverage and production first, the albums and prints second. To be very honest it has never been my life dream to sell albums to my clients when I rather be out making photos together.
