Why do you list your packages and rates online?
Our customers time is very important to us. We are a successful company of almost 15 years. We succeed do to our dedication, generosity and our quality photography that we are always looking to improve. We list our packages and rates to decrease the stress for our customers when they are trying to book their most romantic day!
How long will it take for us to get our wedding photos?
Adventures In Photography does not rely on a regional printer. The Canadain Rockies employs many traveling workers and we won't trust our customers wedding images with less than professional printers. Our high quality Apple monitors are calibrated with our printers specifiations and we don't treat our customers packages like a Fast Food Company. They are hiring us to edit their wedding photos with the greatest care with cutting edge technology. This all requires time and even in our busiest times of the year delivery counts on how quickly the customer can decide on thier online photos! We are still the only company that allows our customers to print their images up to 14"x21" right from their website!
Why does your company use only Digital Media?
We turned over to digital from film in 2003 after being a professional film photography provider since 1986. Being in the pursuit for excellence, the digital media is more versatile and is able to print larger and higher quality images for our customers. With the rapid growth of digital imagery it has become more cost effective and easier to guarantee lifetime preservation for our customer's dollar. We can shoot for longer durations with out stopping than ever before. At present we use high speed 4 gigabyte cards that allows us to shoot at least 300 exposures at the highest quality without changing cards.
Why does your company work on a required image system?
The bottom line is the professional composition in our images and files is why you are hiring us. We don't boast of how many exposures we take - we simply state that digital media does not restrict the duration of the photography engagement. We do not boast that you will receive 1200 proofs from 3 hours of coverage as this number simply can not allow every image to be absolutely perfect. If we photographed 400 exposures per hour it would mean we are photographing almost 7 exposures per minute which is impossible to capture images that would not lose their charm in your children's or grand children's life time.
Finally for reasons of positioning our business in a over saturated, ever changing market place we have streamlined our operation to allow packages starting at 30 proofs for our 1 hour portrait engagements and 40 proofs for our daily operation. We work to photograph daily not weekly.
Why do we have two sets of cds ?
Some printers state that they can not print from our Cd's because our files are too large - in most cases this is false and they don't want to slow down the speed their machines so their profit margins stay at the level they wish. This is why we prepare a small high resolution file, and a large high resolution file. This lowers our profit margin with the time it consumes but shows each and every one of our clients that their memories and the ability to share them is our number one concern.
Why is our images of poor quality on our wedding website?
Your wedding images are created in a photo shop program and edited on a monitor supporting millions of colours but Modern Web Browsers are built to be fast which do not allow much more than 256 colours. If you save any of the images off your wedding website site to your computer you will see a great difference in image quality. Also consider adjusting your monitor. Most monitors that are not designed for Professional Image Editing can not be considered accurate for viewing the quality of the file. Your Image Files that you download from your site or view from the high resolution cd's we provide can be printed by any established lab in the world with quality results.
How long will our wedding website stay on the Internet?
Your wedding website is a sub domain that operates independently of a root domain and can stay online as long as this service exist with our company or the modern world is capable to support the energy the internet requires.
