Black Bears In Banff and Jasper National Parks!
Photography of Black Bears in Banff and Jasper National Park is very possible during the Spring and Summer months as bears can be found with ease on many of the parkways in in parks looking for food. This activity can cause problems better known as Bear Jams. A Bear Jam is when many vehicles stop along the road side to photograph these very wild creatures. This is a extremely dangerous activity as it can cause fatalities to the tourist observing the bear by accidents caused by on coming traffic or an attack by a mother bear protecting her cubs.
Most Tourist do not have the the proper camera equipment to even capture good images of a road side bear. So it is best to only observe these creatures while passing by with caution.
